A Day with Dad

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate fathers for all they have done. It’s a day to show how much your father means to you.

I think Father’s Day is great because I can thank my father for all that he has done in my life. Whether we spend the day out celebrating or I get to buy him a special gift, it’s a time to show appreciation. My Dad always told me all you have to do is show him by giving him a hug or telling him that you love him and to remember actions speak louder than words.

It’s also about letting your father know how much he means to you. For example, by telling all the blessings he has done in your life and why they are important to you. One Father’s Day, my mother and I decided to stay home and cook Dad’s favorite dessert, a banana split with whip cream and sliced strawberries. Dad is very grateful each day, but Father’s Day is special to him and us because of the signs we show that he’s important in our lives.

The importance of Father’s Day is to show your father how much he means to you. It is a very important day to spend with your father.
